On Feb. 9th my mom was taken to Asian Hospital ER due to severe headache that lasted several days. She wasn’t able to tolerate the pain any longer and know she needed to be seen. The physicians discovered my mom had a brain aneurysm. Due to COVID-19 and over crowding of public hospitals in Manila there was no choice but to use Asian Hospital that required a large down payment to do the necessary emergency Angio coil procedure. On Feb. 10th at 1AM they started the procedure and finished at 3:15AM and my mom was transferred to the ICU. According to her doctor that she had a successful surgery which I am really thankful to the almighty lord for listening to our prayers. This unexpected hardship will leave my mom and dad with a hospital bill that they can not afford. The hospital bill is estimated at a costs of PHP 1 to 1.5 million (estimated $21,000 - $32,000 USD) this is more than the family can pay for the hospital expenses not covered with the limited PhilHealth coverage. I want to help my parents overcome this expense and not to stress my parents with this financial burden. Both are not in great health and have been impacted with loss of income now.
