Mama Meatball came into my life as a stray I had been trying to help through my neighborhood TNR feeding station. After months of building trust, she finally came inside just in time- and extremely pregnant. I did everything I could with the resources I had to make a safe, quiet space for her. She gave birth to 6 beautiful kittens. Tragically, 4 were stillborn, and one required me to step in to help deliver. Mama handled everything with so much strength until that moment. Afterward, she became lethargic, started panting, and was losing blood. I rushed her to the emergency animal hospital, fearing there might be another kitten stuck. Thankfully, she pulled through, but now we’re facing the next challenge. Mama Meatball is underweight and weaning, and along with her 6 growing kittens, they are eating 8–10 cans of food every single day. The animal rescue I work with has been incredibly kind, but they simply don’t have the resources to provide enough food and litter for all of them at once. I’m doing everything I can, but I can’t keep up with the cost alone. If you’re able to help in any way, whether it’s donations, supplies, or even sharing this, it would mean everything to us.
