Mama Meatball came into my life as a stray I had been trying to help through my neighborhood TNR feeding station. After months of building trust, she finally came inside just in time, and extremely pregnant. I did everything I could with the resources I had to make a safe, quiet space for her.
She gave birth to 6 beautiful kittens. Tragically, 4 were stillborn, and one required me to step in and help deliver. Mama handled everything with so much strength until that moment. Afterward, she became lethargic, started panting, and was losing blood. I rushed her to the emergency animal hospital, terrified there might still be another kitten stuck. Thankfully, she pulled through.
Now we’re facing the next challenge. Mama Meatball and her kittens have developed ringworm, which means constant deep cleaning, medication, quarantine precautions, laundry, and replacing supplies to keep everyone safe and healing. On top of that, Mama Meatball is underweight and weaning, and together they are eating 8 to 10 cans of food every single day.
The rescue I work with has been incredibly kind, but they simply do not have the resources to fully provide food, litter, medications, and cleaning supplies for all of them at once. I’m doing everything I can, but I can’t keep up with the cost alone.
If you’re able to help in any way, whether through donations, supplies, or simply sharing this, it would mean everything to us. I just want Mama Meatball and her babies to have a real chance at a safe, healthy, and deeply loved life.
Thank you for caring for the ones who need it most ❤️
