Kate's car is kaputt! It was too expensive to fix and too much money to replace. Friends have been loaning them cars while they search for something they can afford. Unfortunately, the price of a decent car is over the top these days, and they are not able to find anything they can afford. They just need a little help from their friends to get a car that they need. They have their sights on something reasonable and used but reliable and with AWD for the snow conditions we have here in the foothills.
