Help Mama Hannan Fight her battle!

Hey Friends,
On January 9, 2017 my family received some concerning news that would soon be the beginning of a devastating and trying time in all of our lives. My Mother went for a routine mammogram, where doctors told her that day, that additional imaging needed to be done. She then had another mammogram on January 12th that required a biopsy which was performed on January 16th. The results from the biopsy showed the calcium deposits were positive and she was then diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (IDC) & Ductal Carcinoma IN-SITU (DCIS) high grade with associated necrosis calcifications, along with a tumor which was rated HER2 and the score was 3+ (a very aggressive form of cancer).
Her first surgery which was then performed on February 15th, to remove the mass as well as a lymph node (to check to see if it had spread). Unfortunately, a week later; the results showed there was still calcifications found, and the lymph node came back positive.
Then, surgery #2 was performed on March 2nd to remove the remainder of the calcium deposits. After the surgery, she had a subsequent mammogram, and the results showed that there were still calcium deposits present.
A 3rd surgery will still have to be performed, but given the circumstance of the aggressiveness, and it being present in her lymph nodes, chemotherapy had to be started immediately, which she started on March 24th.
From this point on, there will 18 weeks of chemotherapy. After she has completed so, she will then have to start radiation, which will be done every day for a month. After the radiation is completed, we will then schedule what is hopefully her last surgery, bringing her one step closer of being cancer free.
With no family history of breast cancer, this has been a complete shock to our family and has flipped our lives upside down.
We were reluctant to start this fundraising campaign because we are uncomfortable asking others for help, which my family has never done before. The situation that we are currently facing is different. We DO need help. The emotional support and prayers we have received is so appreciated and so amazing, but we also need financial help. With medical bills piling up and the challenging road ahead with my mom’s treatment plan, as she is unable to work through all of this, the last thing I want her to do is suffer financially. There is still a very long road of treatment and recovery ahead. I am asking for any sort of contribution towards her current and future medical bills. Any little bit helps and goes such a long way to alleviate that financial stress. If you are unable to donate, please share this in hopes to reach our goal while she defeats this grueling battle!! Thank you ALL!
