Hello everyone
We are looking to support our Friend Dheanne Whitson during a rough time she is going through. Some of you may have seen her post and already know the story for those who do not we would like to share. Our fiend Dee has had many hardships come her way on the last decade. Most of which could bring a person to their knees and stop them from moving forward in life. She is again going through a rough patch. While Dee is a fighter and keeps getting up every time she is knocked down, she needs our help. She needs her community to walk by her side through struggle, she needs to know that is ok to let your friends help you back up when you are knocked down.
Dee has been back in the hospital and is having more heart related issues. When they went in to check the heart via an angiogram it was determined that one of the 3 previous bypass grafts are not preforming as desired, thus causing complications. Such as causing fluids to build up around her heart and impacting her oxygen levels. She is unable to maintain the needed oxygen saturations levels without using an oxygen concentrator . She is unable to walk more than short distances before her oxygen levels dropped and they have to put her back on the oxygen. She has been in the hospital since Thursday and it looks like she could be there for most of this week. They do not know if she is going to remain on the oxygen on a permanent basis once she leaves the hospital. In addition her insurance coverage will be lapsing on 2/1/2020. While she may be able to get that reinstated due to her loss of income, that piece is still unknown and she is at the mercy of State to get that piece straightened out. This of course means she has not been able to work and was not able to work most of January due to her medical issues. This as you can imagine is adding to the stress on her heart and her soul. She worries about what the long term will look like for her and how do get through the next few months. We are trying to take some of that stress off her so she can concentrate on just getting better. We pray that this will just be a bump in the road and she will be back on her feet in the next few months.
