Help Mama and Her Feral Family Thrive

I have 8 feral cats who live on/around my property. I began caring for Mama, the grey cat in the photo above, about a year ago. In the time since, she has had at least two litters and several other adult cats have found their way to our yard. I have been able to TNR one cat so far. My priority is to have all 8 of them fixed and vaccinated before spring 2025. I spent fall of 2024 preparing shelters for the cats before the cold winter months. I was able to get one adult male neutered before the weather turned, but needed to focus on how I would provide food, water and shelter before the temperatures dropped below freezing. All 8 cats not only survived the cold, but are healthy and thriving! Even the two 8 week old kittens who appeared right before temperatures plummeted are alive and well… and much bigger. While this is a wonderful blessing, it also makes the necessity to get them fixed much greater. I use my own time and resources to care for these cats because it brings me joy and a sense of purpose. That will never change and I intend to continue for as long as I am able. That said, I alone do not have the ability to pay for their spay/neuter surgeries up front. As my resources are already spread thin, I cannot afford to care for a larger colony than we already have. Not only that, Mama’s health and quality of life is severely compromised by having babies. I would like to provide these cats the best possible care, comfort and dignity. Making sure they’re all fixed and healthy is the most crucial next step, so any support from you would make a world of difference. Thank you so much!
