My name is Mallory and I’ve started this GoFundMe because I just need extra help.

Ive always been a hard worker and I’ve always done things on my own but in 2023 I came down with mono and developed a chronic condition called POTS weeks later. I was fired from my job for being sick and the death of my mother and aunt months prior catapulted me into a deep depression which in turn made my condition worse due to becoming bedridden. I was going to chase my dream of becoming a Chef and I was on top of the world. I had saved up enough money for a down payment on a house but since becoming sick I’ve had to use those funds for medical bills and to help keep my fiance and I afloat while I’ve fought to get back some sense of normality again in my life.

I’ve improved but not enough yet to work. I’m hoping next year changes that for me. Every day is unpredictable in terms of symptoms. The only income I have is from streaming when I can if I meet the monthly threshold for a withdrawal but otherwise my fiance supports us completely. The slow season for his job is coming up and he’s looking for a second job—maybe even a third to keep us afloat.

We need help getting through the winter and into next year until things pick up for him again so anything helps. I’ll be using these funds to pay rent, medical bills, my medication, food and medicine for my 3 cats, and other needs that arise during the winter. If I have anything left over it’ll be going to my debt so I can go into next year with a more fresh slate.
