Help Mallory Knock Out Cancer!

Hi, my name is Sandy Tankoff Mateer, and I am doing a fundraiser for my groovy friend Mallory Anderson. I have known Mallory...Mal since 1973! I've learned over the years that she is intelligent, easygoing and loves to laugh!!! We can stay up all night laughing and telling stories. She is an absolute joy to be around.

Mallory has been a single parent to her son Dillion his whole life. She has worked hard to get ahead professionally to provide the two with a warm and loving home. She is dedicated to her father by helping him stay independent on the family farm. She takes the time to assist him each season with chores that need to get done. She especially enjoys helping her dad harvest his garden. Each year they freeze and can all the produce he has grown in his garden. Mal will bring produce to me and many others to share. Besides being a mom, Mallory's biggest personal accomplishment in her life is being 40 years sober! She has never had one setback in 40 years. Mallory has had several stresses in her life, but she is dedicated and takes her sobriety seriously.

Mallory learned she had Endometrial Cancer in May of 2022. Like all of us, she was shocked. And being the groovy chick she is, she also said a few choice words. But what impressed me immediately was her smile and positive attitude NEVER left her. She said, "Well, we will get through this F------ Chemo so that this F------ Cancer will be gone!"

She had the surgery, which seems to of been a success. To date, Mallory has had most of her chemo treatments. Cancer appears to be responding very well to the chemo. However, she has had setbacks and has been in and out of the hospital. All of this has definitely taken its toll. Mallory has experienced a loss of income from all the days and weeks she has missed from work. Her medical bills keep piling up. She is still smiling, laughing and putting on a positive attitude every day. I am learning what it means to be strong and courageous from watching Mallory kick cancer in the butt!
