Christmas Eve Update:

The labs came back the other day and it was confirmed that the tumor under Mallos tongue is Squamous Cell Carcinoma. Unfortunately the prognosis is grim, as most cats with this form of cancer only make it weeks to months after diagnosis.

Since the tumor is under his tongue, surgical removal is not an option and I don’t feel right putting him through radiation knowing the chances of survival are so thin.

As for now Mallo is still having good days. When the bad outweigh the good I’m going to help him cross that rainbow bridge.

I don’t want his last experience in this life to be a car ride (which he dislikes) followed up with being in an unfamiliar place (which he also isn’t fond of).

I’ve found a place that will come to my place and euthanize him at home when the time is right.

With all the changes in food, extra treats, medication, vet visits, and other expenses I’m tapped out financially. That’s not to mention the bolt I found in my tire and needing a new alternator in my car. I suppose when it rains it pours.

It costs $300 for them to come do the euthanasia and another $300 if I want him cremated and returned to me.

So once again I am begging for help. Please consider a donation to this cause. My heart is already crushed, I want to give Mallo the best end of life transition possible. He deserves nothing but the best.

Hey guys, Nikki here. My cat Mallo is having a rough time. What started off as just a little drool has turned into a possible cancer diagnosis. Although Mallo has a good demeanor, I can tell he’s struggling.

i took him to the vet because of the excessive drool thinking he must have some dental issues. When the vet examined him she found a mass under his tongue.

We tried steroids, but 10 days in hes still having issues. Last night he came to me with blood on his mouth. I couldn’t find the source of the blood.

I called the vet and she suggested it’s time to sedate him to get a good look inside his mouth and biopsy the mass.

I am absolutely beside myself. Mallo has been my best friend ever since I rescued him from a rabbit cage outside 7.5 years ago. He has taught me what unconditional love looks like. He has been there for me through so many life changes and events.

Now it’s my time to be there for him. Unfortunately the vet bills are a bit more than I can handle myself. I am begging that anyone who can help out, please consider a donation, big or small, anything helps.

It has been a rollercoaster with Mallo. He had been doing good since I made this Go fund me, then after his biopsy a few days ago he took a turn and has been struggling since.

Currently he is having a hard time getting comfortable, doesn’t seem to have as much energy, and seems like he might be in pain. I plan to see if we can go back to the meds he was on before the biopsy when the vet opens tomorrow, as he seemed to react well to them.

Between the repeated vet visits, different medications, diet changes, biopsy, and labs I’ve already spent well over $1500. Treatment is gonna be a long, hard road.

Please help me help Mallo. He is the best cat I’ve ever had. He’s been my everything and I’m not sure how I can possibly live without him!
