Mallie has been living with endometriosis since her senior year of high school. After years of ER visits, multiple doctors, and ongoing pain, she had her first surgery at 20- which officially confirmed the diagnosis. Her second surgery came almost exactly four years later, and resulted in her doctor suspecting she also has adenomyosis.
Endometriosis is a painful disease where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus, causing chronic pain, fatigue, and sometimes fertility issues. Adenomyosis occurs when this tissue grows into the muscular wall of the uterus, often worsening pain and causing heavy bleeding. Both conditions are chronic and can make everyday life, work, and social activities extremely difficult.
Now, at 26, Mallie is preparing for her third surgery this December. This procedure is more complex and slightly more invasive than her previous surgeries, and it will be performed by a highly respected specialist in Atlanta. The surgery is out-of-state and out-of-network for insurance due to being a specialist, so all costs will be out-of-pocket. The surgery itself costs $11,000, with $5,500 due before surgery and the remaining balance due afterward. The total goal of $13,000 also covers additional medical expenses and hospital fees.
We are raising funds to help Mallie get the care she desperately needs. Any donation, no matter the size, will make a huge difference. If you cannot donate, sharing this page with others is just as meaningful.
Thank you for helping Mallie take a step toward living free from constant pain and reclaiming her life!
