Hi everyone,

I’m starting this GoFundMe for my best friend Maliyah and her family, who lost everything in a house fire this morning. The fire started from an electrical issue and quickly destroyed the entire home. It’s still burning, but I wanted to set this up as soon as possible to help them find somewhere to stay. Right now, they have nowhere to go.

They were only able to get out with the clothes on their backs. All of their belongings are gone, including their phones. Even worse, all of their cats were inside the house. We’re hoping and praying that some made it out, but firefighters have confirmed that at least one didn’t make it. Maliyah and her family are completely heartbroken.

They are some of the kindest, most hard-working people I know. They’ve always done whatever they could for others, and now they’re the ones who need help. Anything you can give will go toward getting them a safe place to stay and helping them start over.
