On March 22nd, Maliya was hit by another driver who ran a red light and t-boned her car. We recently found out that the other driver was uninsured, which means we can't file a claim with that driver's insurance, and we've only been able to afford liability on our own insurance policy. This means that medical costs, legal fees (if I can find an affordable lawyer to help us), and replacing her car will all come out of our own pockets, something we can't afford right now.

While we can try and sue the other driver, there's no guarantee that we'll win, much less actually see payment, especially from someone who wasn't insured.

If you know me, you know I am pretty private, and I have a lot of pride, meaning I absolutely hate asking for help, especially when I believe most hard things in life we can dig ourselves out of with hard work and determination. But this is a scenario where I'm having to swallow my pride and ask for help.

I have to figure out how to pay for a lawyer when there wasn't a major injury, Maliya's medical bills for the minor injuries, and a new car in a short period of time, on top of all other regular bills and expenses. I don't even know how much all of it will end up costing us, but figure $5,000 is a good start.

I know that money is tight for everyone, and if all you can offer is prayers and well wishes, I completely understand and will gladly accept it!

If, however, you can help financially in any way, I would love to show Lia how God shows up in unexpected ways and teach her to always pay it forward.

This is me throwing out some mustard seed faith because we could sure use a win right about now.
