Help Malina’s Family Cover Funeral Cost
Donation protected
As many of you know, my mom, Malina Carnell, has been bravely battling stage 4 colorectal cancer for the past two years.
In December, we received the heartbreaking news that the cancer had spread throughout her body. She began chemotherapy again in hopes of slowing its progression.
However, on January 17, we made the difficult decision to stop treatment and transition to hospice care.
My mom is now in her final days with us before she finds peace, free from pain, in the arms of our Lord.
She requires 24-hour care, and as a family, we are doing everything we can to be there for her. This has been an incredibly difficult and vulnerable time for us all.
I have taken time off work to ensure she receives the best care possible, but Bryan, her partner, does not qualify for family leave. He has been working every single day to support our family when, in reality, he should be by her side, cherishing these last precious moments together.
Adding to the weight of this situation, my mom does not have life insurance, and we are now faced with the financial burden of planning her funeral.
We are beyond grateful for the love and support we’ve already received.
Posting this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, as asking for help does not come easily. But my mom deserves the best.
All donations will go toward covering funeral expenses and providing Bryan the ability to take a few days off work—to be with the love of his life as she takes her final breaths.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Your kindness, prayers, and support mean the world to us. This isn’t just our pain to bear—we know so many of you love her too, and we hold you close during this time.
