Malik Sajjad Ahmad, a 48-year-old mechanic in Abu Dhabi, was the only earning member for his wife and three young children (ages 6, 8, and 10). On 14 June 2025, while at work, he suddenly collapsed from a massive brain hemorrhage, went into a coma, and became paralyzed on the right side.
He spent more than two months in the ICU at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC), where doctors performed emergency brain surgery, a decompressive craniectomy, and later a cranioplasty. His condition was so severe that he required a tracheostomy and continuous monitoring.
When the family could no longer afford the treatment, the Pakistan Embassy arranged an air ambulance to bring him home. He is now receiving ongoing care from doctors in Pakistan, but the family does not have the money to continue hospital treatment or necessary procedures.
His Current Condition
He cannot walk, he cannot speak
He cannot work
He needs lifelong physiotherapy and neurological care
He has serious kidney problems in BOTH kidneys:
Left kidney functioning only 30%
Right kidney functioning 70% but with obstruction and outflow resistance
His family has no income and no support
His children ask every day when their father will stand again, but the cost of treatment, rehabilitation, and kidney procedures is far beyond the family’s ability to pay.
