Help Malia Deal with the Medical Costs of MS

Our fav friend Malia has recently been diagnosed with MS (Multiple Sclerosis-- see below for info) and is dealing with this life-changing diagnosis alongside some other possible medical issues.
This sucks for her as MS can be a terrifying, debilitating disease. As she investigates and faces these new challenges, her bills are already staring to pile up. The good news, though, is that we can help with the bills part of things! Every dollar raised will provide some relief to her financially (and mentally/emotionally) as she has no choice but to go through the awful process of resetting her life, working with new doctors to figure out a plan to stay healthy for as long as possible. She has been trying new medications, weathering the often crappy side effects, figuring out how to move forward all while shouldering ongoing medical expenses. Through no fault of her own, Malia drew a short straw when it comes to this diagnosis. Let's all make it suck less and pay some of her bills so she can, at least, not worry about that part. With our powers combined we can make this situation a little less awful for our gal Malia. We all know that she's an amazing human so let's show her that love!

Multiple sclerosis is a disease that impacts the brain and spinal cord which make up the central nervous system and controls everything we do. The exact cause of MS is unknown, but we do know that something triggers the immune system to attack the brain and spinal cord. The resulting damage to myelin, the protective layer insulating wire-like nerve fibers, disrupts signals to and from the brain. This interruption of communication signals causes unpredictable symptoms such as numbness, tingling, mood changes, memory problems, pain, fatigue, blindness and/or paralysis. Everyone’s experience with MS is different and these losses may be temporary or long lasting.
