I'm Maleeka Johnson, an 18-year-old with a big dream: to attend Monroe College in New Rochelle, New York. I'm thrilled to share that I've been accepted!
However, my journey to this point hasn't been easy. When my father left two years ago, my family's financial stability was shaken. Despite the struggles, I've worked hard to maintain excellent grades (10 CSEC subjects and a 4.0 GPA) and become the first in my family to attend university.
But I need your help to make this dream a reality. Tuition fees, living expenses, and other costs are daunting. That's why I'm turning to you, my community, for support.
