Help Maldon Carnival put on a CARNIVAL Procession
Maldon Carnival and its procession are an important part of the tradition and character of the town. The carnival dates back to 1895 making it one of the oldest carnivals in the country.
The Committee of volunteers was all set to have a Carnival in 2020 and secured funding but unfortunately due to the current coronavirus outbreak all the funding grants that we were promised to have. Have been withdrawn. On top of this our main fundraising events also did not happen.
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT MORE THAT EVER. each year the cost of the carnival goes up more and more, Marshall, security, bands etc. On average it costs around £5000 just to put on a Procession.
As part of the Carnival festival, we also run a week of entertainment for all the family, events like the baby show, bingo, children’s fun time and more. If you can help, please donate whatever you can.
Thank you for your support
