Help Malcolm Walk Again: Support His Recovery
Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Malcolm.
A few months ago, I had to have foot surgery on my left foot/ankle because most of the ligaments on the outside of my foot were up in my ankle. This happened because of an injury a few years back. I put surgery off so I could continue to work since I don’t have anyone to help take care of me or support me financially.
Unfortunately, it got worse over the years to the point that my doctor said if I don’t have surgery now, I would lose my ability to walk in a few years. I wanted to put it off longer so I’d be able to save enough money to do this but it was so bad that I had to get the surgery done within 10 days of my appointment.
I was told I would heal within 2-3 months, which hasn’t been the case, unfortunately.
While attending physical therapy, my calf was also injured as well and made things worse. I tried to go back to work and continue normal life after 3 months, which just made things worse as well because I was pushing myself too hard.
It’s to the point where I can’t even walk without getting sharp, excruciating pain in my ankle and calf. I have to go back to the doctor to see what needs to be done as well. At this point, I really don’t know when things will get better and it has made things really challenging financially.
I’m not the kind of person who ever asks for help and would rather help others than myself. I feel embarrassed to even have to make this but things have gotten to the point where friends I’m close with recommended that I make a GoFundMe to get the help I need taking care of bills, food, and basic needs.
If you’ve read to this point and are willing to help me on my recovery journey, I’d like to say thank you! You are truly a blessing to me and I appreciate the sacrifice you made to be willing to help me during this time. God bless you!
