Those that know me know what I do, I privately help cats who are abandoned and have no one to take them in and care for them. I do this out of my own pocket and never ask for any help; that is until my cat Malakai became extremely sick with Pyothorax which causes fluid to build up in his chest making his breathing extremely hard.
I had taken him to a local vet who did not have the tools to save him nor did anyone in the immediate area. My only option was to take him 2 hours away to U.C. Davis animal hospital and as the vet described "he is in compensation mode" and may not make if I did not leave immediately and even then his chances were low.
I am at a loss of what to do as the vet bill was quite astronomical and drained what savings I had for emergencies like these. I am in need of help recovering from his hospitalization.
He is doing better now and out of the woods after a week long stay at the hospital and is on antibiotics.
If you can help me recover financially I would greatly appreciate any and all help. This money is for the animals that I care for and not for me. I just want to be prepared for the next vet visit and not be able to save an animal when they just need medical help.
Thank you,
John
