Hi! My name is Malak Ataya and I'm a senior in high school currently working on my Girl Scout Gold Award, which is the highest honor in Girl Scouting represented by the California State Senate. For my project, I'm partnering with my local police department to support families affected by natural disasters like fires, earthquakes, and other emergencies.

When disaster strikes, families often have little or no time to gather essentials. That's why I'm raising money to purchase and assemble emergency backpacks filled with vital supplies such as hygiene items, water, non-perishable food, first-aid kits, and comfort items for children. These backpacks will be distributed by local officers to families in need, especially those in high fire risk communities and low income communities.

My goal is to complete this project by August 14, 2026, and every donation will directly support the purchase of emergency care supplies and backpack materials.

These materials are vital to communities that have gone through unforeseen disasters, especially those living in low income neighborhoods.
