My name is Malah, and I’m a 20-year-old with a big dream: to become a registered nurse and, one day, an OB/GYN. I’m the oldest of 12 siblings, and I want to set an example for them while also helping provide for my family. Right now, I’m preparing to attend Stepful, a medical trade school with a four-month program that will help me become a certified medical assistant. This is the first step on my journey to a career in healthcare, and it will give me the foundation I need to continue my education and reach my long-term goals. Paying for the Stepful program has been a challenge. The tuition and exam fees are more than I can manage on my own.
