Will's wishes and needs - Critical heart failure at 19
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Tricia Gleaves, Will Dinsmore's Aunt. Will is 19 years old and lives in Chillicothe, Ohio with his mom & dad and little sister.
Will's story:
Will is a 19-year-old graduate of Adena High School in Ohio. He loves hunting, fishing, fast cars, and most of all, his friends and family.
Will was born with a congenital heart defect called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, requiring him to have a heart transplant in January of 2017. About two months ago, while Will was visiting with his brother and family, he had an episode of rejection and heart failure that caused him to be flown to Atlanta Children's Hospital. His prognosis was not good. His organs shut down, and he was only given hours to days to live. By the grace of God, with many prayers, Will's organs woke up, and he began to recover. However, his heart did not. Will was able to be flown back home to Columbus Children's Hospital and was just released a few days ago into hospice care. He is not eligible for another heart transplant. His prognosis now, without God's intervention, is day by day. We pray for a miracle, healing for his heart, and peace for Will.
Our Goal: Make Will's time he has left as happy as possible, with all of his wants and needs taken care of.
We want to facilitate family visits, any trips Will wants to take, and any supplies Will may need to make it easier at home & for mobility. Will loves food and restaurants. We want Will to be able to go out to eat with family and experiment with cooking as he desires. We tried making carne asada and let's just say, we're going to need to get ingredients and try that one again. Hahaha!!!
