Help make my law fellowship dream into a reality!!

Hi! My name is Denavvia Mojet and I am raising money to take advantage of the opportunity of a lifetime. People have no idea how hard it is to continue in higher education, go back to school, change jobs, or do something like a travel-based legal immersion fellowship when you are a single (and solo) mom but I've decided to stop putting myself on the backburner and go back to fighting for access to the rooms that can empower me to make even more of a difference in the world.

I have made the necessary accommodations and after applying and interviewing, I have been chosen by The Lex Fellowship to participate in their renowned international legal immersion program. The Lex Fellowship invites the best and brightest minds to travel in small cohorts deployed around the world, to work in law firms across legal disciplines and obtain legal mentors, advisors, and work contacts around the world.

I believe that participating in this program would be a gamechanger for me, my family, and the lives of all of the Michiganders that I touch through my work in community organizing, advocacy, nonprofit leadership, and philanthropy. This program would give me the support that I need, as a first-generation college student to have community and guidance securing my doctorate and give me the kind of exposure to determine what area of law I will be going into. I am raising money for the program fee (varies based on trip location), the initial deposit ($900), the airfare (varies based on trip), passport fee, and travel expenses incurred during studies.
