Hello world my name is Kaneki or just Ken for short! I am so excited to have a second opportunity at life, but I can't do it without alittle support!

I was born in Las Vegas, to a stray mama cat. Unfortunately because of an injury/infection in my eyes I wasn't able to follow me mommy and siblings. Luckily enough I was found and brought to an animal hospital!

Unfortunately, as you might have seen from my pictures the doctor strongly believes that my right eye won't recover and must be removed once I am older and strong enough!

I am currently only 4.5 weeks old so I have some growning to do before my surgery. Till then I am being medicated in hopes of reducing swelling to make things more comfortable.

Update 6/11/25

I may not be the best at getting my pictures taken, but that's only because I'm feeling so much better and just want to run around! Even though I get junk (medication) dripped in my eyes every 4 hours. I'm still not ready to admit that the stuff is working but I do feel better. (It really is helping though)

I have learned a new skill I'd like to share! I no longer eat out of a syringe! I'm getting hand fed little meaty chucks! I will admit I get to exited and can't tell what is food and what is human fingers, Oops. ❤️

Last night I pooped all my own!

Today I ate off a plate!

Then I peed all on my own!

Sat and watched this tiny human today.

The humans have caught on to me rubbing my eye medication off on my bedding, so now I have alittle makeshift cone of shame. Ignore the mess, some of my dinner got on my cone.

Happy Father's Day to all the cat dads out there. I am doing better, my eye is less red and swollen. Had a busy day running around and playing, it's time for a cat nap.

Had a fun day of playing and growing. I'm at 0.89 pounds. I can have my surgery once I'm 2 pounds! Getting closer everyday, but let me take a cat nap first.

My eye is doing so much better! It has shrunk down the we're I can finally close my eye lid around it. Now that I can't rub my medication off or bump it into anything I can go CONE FREE!

Still having some discharge so medication is still a thing. But I get my weight checked on Friday, I'll keep you posted! Thanks for supporting!
