Hi! My name is John C. Frederick. I'm a 24-year-old gay Nigerian writer-director, currently seeking asylum in the United States.

Accepting your sexuality is rarely simple and often frightening, especially for someone with my background. That’s why my team and I are making the most personal film of my career: a story rooted in my struggle to reconcile my queerness with my faith, and, quite literally, my act of coming out.

This project is a statement about identity, faith, and the need for belonging. We begin filming on October 17th.
