My name is Lucas Zarro, I’m a filmmaker from Maui, Hawaii.

A single bizarre moment online became the seed of something far larger than I expected. I created an AI video of a cat holding a drill and screwing into drywall… and the internet reacted like it was witnessing the origin of a cinematic character.

And the more I explored it, the more it became obvious:

DRILLCAT is a movie.

This isn’t a meme anymore.

This is a surreal modern folklore creature born from the collision of absurdity and horror, a form of cinematic myth that could only exist in 2025.

Drillcat is a story about obsession, identity, internet consciousness, isolation, chaos, humor, and the thin boundary between “dumb joke” and “dark cultural mirror.”

This campaign exists to fund the development, production, and completion of a full feature film based on Drillcat.

I have already begun building the visual universe, shot by shot, image by image, world by world, establishing the film grammar, the tone, the rules, the emotional arc, and the mythology. This isn’t random, it’s a REAL narrative constructing itself.
