Hi everyone, thank you for your consideration towards Ray's cause. Ray Cullison is one of my dear friends and former Paramedic partner in the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.
Less than a month ago, the Cullison family learned of Ray's stage 4 pancreatic cancer, which has metastasized to his liver and lymph nodes. When he began experiencing symptoms this past spring, Ray sought out answers at his local hospital. Despite doing an array of tests and scans, his cancer went undiagnosed. Now, with less than a year to live, his wish is to pass comfortably in his MD home. To do so, we need your help in funding his home repairs and medical expenses.
Right now in the heat of summer, the Cullison family has no air conditioning. The flooring in the kitchen and living room have had substantial water damage, and are in desperate need of repair. His ongoing medical expenses, which are soon to include chemotherapy, are about to cost them everything they have. Unfortunately, this is not the beginning of Ray's medical challenges:
Ray was born and raised in Kent Island Maryland. From a young age, he has had a strong desire to help people. At the age of 19, this desire led him to the doors of the Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department, where he eventually rose to rank Sergeant. He later became certified as a Paramedic, where I had the privilege of working with him. Ray devoted himself to emergency medical services, and his career that was tragically cut short during a call when his Paramedic unit was struck by a drunk driver at over 75 mph. The accident resulted in spinal surgery and lifelong complications. Since his medical retirement, Ray's disability has compromised his ability to maintain his home.
We thank Ray for his 13 years of service in the Anne Arundel County Fire Department as a Paramedic and Paramedic Preceptor, as well as his 4 years as a Firefighter/EMT Sergeant in the Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department.
Donations of any size are appreciated and will help Ray's wish come true. Thank you again for your consideration.
