Last year, I hosted the first-ever Presente! Festival in Lawrence, and I am asking for your help to make year two as incredible as possible for my community. Presente is an arts and music festival created to celebrate the amazing artists in Lawrence as well as the cultural in-between that a lot of us find ourselves in. Those of us who grew up in this country with deep ties to our Latin cultural roots sometimes find ourselves feeling like we don't totally fit in either world. I wanted to create a space that felt like home for us, where we sing, dance, express ourselves, and find a space right at the crossroads of that cultural in-between. Where we can seamlessly go from singing in Spanish to singing in English, dancing bachata to sitting in on a yoga session.

All the funds made from this fundraiser will go to directly supporting local artists and creating the Presente! experience through art, performances, programming and whatever other magic we can pull together. This is my passion project, a gift to my community, and with your help, we will truly create something special.
