Hello friends and supporters.

My name is Andrea Ramolo and as many of you might already know, I'm a long-time Canadian music maker, a dancer, educator, and a filmmaker. The incredible experience I had in 2022 making my first ever feature-length documentary in southern Italy called THE SOUTH which ended up premiering at Toronto's ICFF, screening at the Hot Docs cinema, and was awarded the 2023 Canadian Ethnic Media Award for Best Documentary has ignited this flame in me to continue blending mediums to tell stories that are important to me.

Fast forward to now! I've written and am about to produce and direct a short dramatic film alongside some female and gender-diverse film friends entitled BABY. I won't give too much away but the film speaks to two themes I'm very very passionate about: motherhood and the homeless crisis in Canada.

I'm trying to create projects and spaces where female and gender-diverse film workers can have more opportunities and as much as everyone is willing to donate their time and skills for free, there are expenses that need to be covered to make this little film of ours a reality.

I'm reaching out to friends, followers, film and art lovers with an invitation to donate to this production.
