About the play: The striving for power and for a better world both require blood sacrifice. If we build a better world, does it forgive our sins in getting there? And if we hurt those we love along the way, can we even be forgiven at all? "Love, in a violent year" is a story of families, power, secrets, and the redemptive power of love to bind us all together, even in the darkest corners of our humanity.

Hey! My name is Kyle, and I am the playwright and producer of a brand new play called "Love, in a violent year". I am an actor, teaching artist, and writer and my newest play will be premiering at the New York Theatre Festival this June! I want to make our run a success, and that means paying the actors and artists what they deserve, renting rehearsal space, buying props and costumes, and creating promotional material to raise our profile before we open. Your donation will go directly to the creation of a vibrant new piece of theatre, at a time when we need community and art more than ever.
