This story starts off when Lucky was just a baby. Her mom gave up on her as soon as she came out and wouldn’t take her of her, I had to come in and hand feed her from a bottle for almost 2 weeks. The sleepless nights, constant hot water bottles and
weighing her almost came to a stop when she became severely constipated from the formula I was giving. That day she couldn’t poo when I was stimulating her and the vet said after the laxative they give her if she doesn’t end up pooping her body is going to give up on her.
Miracles do happen because that night her mom ended up taking her in, grooming her, stimulating her and allowing her to drink from her milk. They became inseparable from that day she was named Lucky because she was lucky to beat the odds.
I don’t know what happened but she’s suffered some sort of Trauma to her spine and now has a neurological condition. The vets said that they can only give her antibiotics but I would need an MRI to really find out what’s going on and how to help her. They told me it’s around £2000-£2500 and I would have to be referred to a specialist. Unfortunately I don’t have that kind of money right now otherwise I would give that to her right away. They told me to put her down if i see her getting worse but I can’t think about that without knowing I have tried my hardest to help her.
She’s loosing the function of her back legs, she’s finding it hard to balance and often falls when she walks. Recently she’s began falling inside of the litter box and seeing her collapse breaks me. it’s so crazy to think this could happen so fast when just a few weeks ago she was the one chasing foxes away. Despite all of this I see her trying so hard to walk, to stay like her usual self and not give up.
I can’t loose her, she needs that MRI and anything to be able to help her.
Please help Lucky become lucky once again.
