Hello my name is Alexis Dyson. I'm 20 years old and a junior at San Diego State University. Ever since I can remember, I've always wanted to sing; I've been studying theatre for the past two and half years, perfecting my craft and working towards a career that would allow me to do what I love for the rest of my life. (Hopefully, Broadway!)

I recently auditioned for the "Open Jar" Broadway theatre intensive in New York City, taught by the best in the business; Composers, actors, directors, you name it. I was elated to find out that they had accepted me into this incredibly selective program. Not only will this give me the opportunity to learn from the best of the best, but it will also allow me to network and make myself known among some of the most distinguished members of the Broadway community.

I'm so grateful to have been given this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity; It almost doesn't seem real!
