Let’s all band together and bring some light to Amy & Lacey’s life .
On Sunday 18th June Amy and Lacey-Rae’s whole world change when Lacey was taken via ambulance from Wyong Hospital to John Hunter Hospital for emergency brain surgery .
It was discovered after a year of going to the doctors for headaches that Lacey-Rae had severe Hydrochalus ( large amount of fluid and swelling on her brain ) which was caused by a obstructive thalamic region lesion ( tumour ) which is sitting at the back of her brain .
The priority that night was for Lacey-Rae to have surgery to remove the fluid from her brain and release the massive amount of pressure her brain was under .
The surgery was successful which meant we could move forward and start to focus on the lesion and what may be ahead for her and her family.
But unfortunately on Friday 30th June Lacey-Rae was taken via ambulance from her home to John Hunter Hospital where she spent 15 days in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit and 4 days on the ward.
The fluid in Lacey-Rae’s brain had returned aswell as her having two different types of infections .
On Sunday 2nd July Lacey-Rae had her second operation on her brain .
After 3 weeks spent in hospital away from her sisters , Lacey-Rae is home and couldnt be more happier .
Lacey-Rae came home PICC line in and is being supported by hospital in the home .
Lacey-Rae will have her third brain operation in August .
Once her operation is done , once again Lacey-Rae and her family can focus on the lesion with her oncology team and what journey may be ahead .
Lacey is a beautiful 7 year old and has the world at her feet ,
the Fraser’s family’s life’s have been turned upside whilst they try and care and navigate there way through the next season of there life’s ,Amy is a single mum to 4 beautiful girls and needs as much help from us all as they can get , whilst she cares for Lacey and tries to keep normality in her beautiful girls life’s.
They have already been through so much , whilst being separated from her daughters and Lacey’s siblings,
We would appreciate any support no matter how big or small to help make sure amy and the girls can have access to everything they need without all the financial pressures of life .
