Hi, I’m Cassie Oravetz, and I'm working with Yakima Rotaract—a vital organization dedicated to making our community stronger. Your contributions will enable them to build a more inclusive play area at Kissel Park!

Kissel Park is a place where our community comes together. It’s where kids run, play, make friends, and make the kind of childhood memories that stay with them.

But right now, not every child has the same opportunity to experience that play.

As a parent and someone who spends time at Kissel Park, I’ve seen firsthand how difficult it can be for children with different abilities, mobility needs, or developmental needs to fully participate in the playground experience.

I believe our parks should be places where every child gets to say, “I can play too.”

That’s why I started the Kissel Park Accessibility Initiative.

Our goal is to help bring new inclusive and accessible playground equipment to Kissel Park—equipment that allows more children to play alongside their siblings, friends, and classmates instead of being left on the sidelines.

~Why this matters~

Inclusive playgrounds aren't just about adding equipment.

They're about creating a space where children with different abilities can participate together.

They're about a child being able to join their friends on the playground.

They're about siblings being able to play together.

They're about parents being able to visit a park knowing their child has somewhere they can safely participate.

And they're about building a community where everyone belongs.

~Where your donation goes~

**Every dollar raised through this fundraiser will go directly to Yakima Rotaract, which will allocate the funds toward new park equipment for the Kissel Park initiative.**

I will not personally receive any of the funds raised through this campaign.

We hope to work together as a community to raise enough money to make a meaningful difference at Kissel Park and create more opportunities for inclusive play.

Every donation makes a difference

Whether you donate $5, $25, $100, or simply share this fundraiser with someone in our community, you are helping us move one step closer to a playground where more children can play, explore, and belong.

You don't have to be a parent to believe every child deserves a place to play.

You don't have to live directly next to Kissel Park to care about what our community provides for its children.

This is something we can build together.

Let's give our kids a park that welcomes them all.

Let's make Kissel Park a place where every child can play.

Thank you for believing in this vision and helping us make it possible.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps empower local projects that uplift our community. Here’s how your support will make a difference:
  • Funding an inclusive play area for children who are younger or who have disabilities.
  • Make each play area accessible to people in wheelchairs.

Help us make Kissel Park a place where every child can play, explore, and feel included. Funds raised will go directly to Yakima Rotaract to help bring new inclusive and accessible playground equipment to our community.
