Hello, My Brother Justin Poole was Followed from a bank and robbed for $34,000 after the sale of his restored Datsun 260Z. This was a monumental project for any car enthusiast and he put in the time to not only complete the project but dedicated all of the necessary time to learn the skills and never took the easy route. The car won the award for the best Japanese car at the 2023 Route 66 fun run. The decision to sell did not come easy but he had taken that car as far as he could and wanted to build something a little more modern.
After spending months trying to find the right buyer and make a deal it was time to move. The car was transported to Anaheim, CA and all of the necessary paperwork was completed at a local bank where the would-be robbers made their mark. A BMW SUV could be seen at the buyer's ring cam following them from the bank back to the seller's house and then waiting around. They are then seen promptly following when they leave the house. The thief followed them for approximately two hours, It was at this time they had stopped for a bite to eat and the truck was broken into and only the cash was stolen out of the glove box. Many camera angles were acquired of the incident and a license plate was acquired but we are no closer to finding the thief. The reason Cash was chosen for the sale was that the sale on the new car only a short 1 hour from Anaheim had fallen through due to the title not being ready and it was decided to wait to pick it up at a later date.
There are many what-ifs and hindsight is always 20/20 but it is very hard to watch my brother go through this. He is a good kid with a young family and didn't deserve this. He would never ask for help but I feel that it may be the only way to restore his faith in humanity.
