Making Courtney's Final Wishes Come True
Donation protected
Hi, this is Tyler Katz. I am Courtney's husband of 5 years and I am reaching out desperately on Courtney's behalf to make her final wishes come true.
Courtney Katz passed away this past Wednesday afternoon due to toxic shock in her GI tract caused by long-term liver complications. She was only 31 years old and yet touched so many lives in a most profound way during her short time on Earth.
Early last week, Courtney suffered from a GI infection which caused her blood pressure to drop and she fainted, landing herself in the hospital. Her vitals stabilized days later but she continued to battle the toxicity of her gut into Wednesday due to a failing liver. Unfortunately, Courtney lost that battle on Wednesday. However, it was not for lack of fight, perseverance, and absolute warrior grit, which she had in spades.
Courtney went out with the utmost grace and dignity. I have never met a more humble fighter of a woman in my life nor have I encountered a more beautiful heart. Courtney will always be the love of my life. She brought me out of darkness and into my own light in ways I once thought impossible. She taught me to believe in my own ability to accomplish anything. She is the reason I am the man I am and she deserves to have her every wish granted, especially her final wishes in case of passing on before her time, at such a young age.
Courtney's final wishes, should she come to pass before her time, were to be laid to rest with her mother in South Florida at Beth David Memorial Gardens. However, this is a costly venue with high standards. Hence, the total package can easily exceed $25k. However, I believe in my heart that what we have planned for her at this price point would absolutely satisfy her wishes and summon from her the utmost gratitude for anyone and everyone who is able to contribute.
I have NEVER done a Go Fund Me for anything, even in times of great desperation for myself. I would likely die of inflated pride and ego before trying to crowd fund something for myself. However, Courtney is someone that I would have given my liver for had she asked. And so, I am pleading to whoever is out there reading this to see if we can reach this goal and grant her wishes.
Thank you so much for reading and for any contribution you can afford to make.
With love,
Tyler
