I never expected to be writing something like this. 

Recently, I was involved in a serious car wreck that completely totaled my vehicle. I’m grateful to be alive and recovering, but the loss of my car had an immediate impact. It abruptly cut off my ability to earn income through rideshare work, which I relied on while completing graduate studies. 

Because of this sudden disruption, I am at risk of losing my home and urgently need help to remain housed. 

I’ve been an educator since 2007 and stepped out of the classroom to pursue advanced training so I can better serve students with special needs. In Fall 2023, I enrolled in the University of Arkansas’s online graduate program in Special Education with Applied Behavior Analysis certification. This work equips educators to design effective Individualized Education Plans, behavior intervention strategies, and data-driven supports for students with autism and other developmental disabilities. 

This accident created a short-term crisis I could not have anticipated or prevented. Despite everything, I remain deeply committed to my education, my work, and my responsibility to regain stability — but I cannot bridge this moment alone. 

Funds raised through this campaign will be used immediately to: 

* Cover urgent housing costs so I can remain in my home 

* Pay basic living expenses  

* Cover transportation costs while insurance claims are almost settled

* Down payment on vehicle to replace totaled vehicle
