Did you know that more than 50% of people in the Philippines lack access to affordable medical services? Families in San Vicente, Palawan, and neighboring towns often endure a grueling 2 to 3-hour drive to receive medical care. Now, imagine the struggle when someone suffers from a serious injury or requires critical medication or surgery. The journey for help can be overwhelming, especially when financial barriers make it even more daunting. But there’s hope! A dedicated team of volunteers and medical professionals—doctors, nurses, surgeons, pediatricians, and more—come together to deliver essential medical services to families in need, completely free of charge! This mission is not just about providing medical care, it's about inspiring hope and bringing a sense of community to those in need.

This is the third year of our medical mission, and every year, the number of people attending the mission grows. Many families come from farther parts of the island of Palawan by boat, some driving through unpaved roads, and many on foot to take advantage of this free medical event. Hundreds of people line up as early in the morning waiting to be seen. As part of this mission we provide meals to help comfort them while they wait, which sometimes can be hours. The increasing number of attendees each year underscores the growing need for our mission and the importance of your support.

The families we have helped in the previous medical missions were from all walks of life, especially those who are most vulnerable - elders and young children needing medical attention that they couldn't afford or due to lack of access. Pregnant women who haven't had any monthly checkups or prenatal care, elderly folks who can't afford medications to treat complications from high blood pressure or diabetes, and young children who are sick and malnourished. The mission provides medical screenings, treatments, and minor surgeries, including circumcision in boys. Optometry and dental treatments are also part of our care, including cleaning and tooth extractions.

Our medical providers and volunteers are doing this for free - sharing their time, expertise, and services to help the community in San Vicente, Palawan, and other neighboring towns that lack access to medical care and affordability. Their selfless dedication is truly inspiring and deserves our utmost gratitude. It is for non-profit, and we rely on funds from fundraisers and donations. Most of the fund will cover the costs of medications and medical supplies. We need help raising the funds for the medical mission in July.
