We’re reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea for funding support for Alma, a beloved friend who is currently undergoing palliative care.
Alma has recently received the devastating diagnosis of metastatic adenocarcinoma, with the cancer aggressively spreading to her pancreas, lungs, lymph nodes, and duodenum. This diagnosis comes at a time when she has already reached the final stage of cancer, rendering it terminal.
Throughout these challenging months, Alma has displayed remarkable courage in the face of immense pain and discomfort, demonstrating her incredible fortitude in confronting this relentless illness.
Alma's story is one of profound dedication and compassion. In 2010, she made the courageous decision to relocate to Sydney to provide unwavering care and support for her sister with a disability, stepping into the role of primary caregiver after the loss of their mother. For over a decade, Alma's selflessness and devotion knew no bounds as she tirelessly tended to her sister's needs, embodying the true essence of familial love and commitment. In addition to her role as a devoted caregiver, Alma also extended her nurturing spirit to her community as a compassionate support worker, touching the lives of many with her kindness and empathy. Her presence radiated warmth and positivity, earning her a place as a cherished friend to all who knew her. Alma's legacy of love and service will continue to inspire and uplift others for years to come.
Alma has expressed a heartfelt desire to return to her home in Bosnia to be reunited with her children and grandchildren. This reunion holds profound significance for Alma, offering her the opportunity to find solace and comfort in the embrace of her loved ones during this pivotal moment of her final days.
Your contribution, no matter the amount, would make a world of difference in Alma's journey as she navigates this difficult chapter. Your kindness and compassion will not only bring comfort to Alma but also serve as a beacon of hope and solidarity for our community.
In the unfortunate event that Alma's wish to return to her home country cannot be fulfilled due to the progression of her illness, rest assured that the funds raised will be utilized to provide the best possible palliative care for Alma here in Australia. Additionally, any remaining funds will contribute towards arranging her funeral.
Thank you for your willingness to make a difference in her life.
