- I am a single mother with one son, named Maurice. I had him at the age of 18yrs old right after I graduated high school. His father was absent, and I raised him on my own. I tried to attend college, but was unable to complete my first semester due to not having any money for day care, or to pay bills. I started working to make sure I was able to take care of my son and pay bills. I raised him right, kept him in sports, and he graduated on time with his class of 2020. He made sure he got a good job to help me, he's a hard worker, because he watched me struggle to raise him. He was doing wonderful and living a good positive life being a great son. Recently a incident occurred, and he was wrongly accused of a crime, he lost his job, and is going to lose his apartment next month in March. I am unable to pay for his legal fees or an attorney to give my son Maurice a fighting chance to get back to his life he once had. My car broke down and is in a shop, his truck is impounded so now I can't get to go see him or even receive phone calls from him. He has been getting attacked by others, his things have been stolen, and he is now mentally unable to cope with the madness of being accused and not being able to come home. I have reached out to the Senator for help. I'm in a financial hole, me a single mother that can merely provide for myself, I really can't handle this financial load by myself. This situation is unfathomable. I can't give him the help he needs, anything will help. Maurice and I truly need your help and support.
