On October 7th, 2020, Mesquite High School lost a best friend, a teammate, a brother, and a light when Shawn Jimenez passed away after suffering from Medulla Blastoma, a rare brain cancer. Shawn played a huge role at Mesquite by cheering everyone up, getting students excited about school events, making everyone smile and laugh, and being a good friend to whoever he met. We would like to memorialize Shawn into Mesquite High School as a way of thanking him for his incredible and positive impact on and off campus. The money raised will go to building a new basketball court that all students are welcome to use, and a plaque that recognize Shawn’s lasting impression on the school. We truly appreciate beyond words every single donation, no matter how small, and can’t wait to honor our best friend with everyone’s support. Thank you.
