We at the Elliott Group are a family! We do life together. We do life with our business partners and clients. Supporting each other in all areas of our lives makes us much stronger in every way. God…Faith…Family! Nothing compares to being surrounded by driven people that care about others.

One of our own needs help in making her daughter’s dream come true! Who is this Elliott Army family member?

Meet Debbie Darnell. Debbie joined our organization just over a year and a half ago. She and her husband, Robert (Bob), moved here from northern Nevada to be closer to their daughter who attends Arizona State University. Emily is a full-time student at Arizona State University. She is getting her degree in Aeronautical Management Technology (Air Traffic Management) with a graduation date to occur in the Spring of 2026.

Miss Debbie, along with her husband Bob, have a combined 32 years of military service to our country. They both are proud to have been able to serve our country and defend our freedoms. In addition to their military service, both Debbie and Bob have also served the public in Law Enforcement and Teaching. Their dedication and service to others have been tough at times but also very fulfilling.

Miss Debbie is our Elliott Army Homeschool Teacher. She came to us with a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction as well as a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Her extensive background in student achievement, along with her business background, is a great combination to positively impact the lives of our team’s children. (Below, you will see Elliott children participating in a cooking class!)

This teacher loves the ability to shape the minds of our future generation. In addition, she has been given the freedom to implement faith-based lessons in the classroom curriculum. Miss Debbie’s faith and relationship with Jesus is extremely important to her. Those of us in the Elliott Group believe in building our faith and growing in our love of Jesus. The Elliott Army homeschool allows students this opportunity as well as more flexibility in their overall learning. Furthermore, it gives the children a much safer learning environment as opposed to the different threats that children face regularly in a public-school setting. There is no better investment that the safety, education, faith, and dreams of our children.

Like many other moms out there, Miss Debbie wants to help make her daughter’s dream come true.

As parents, don’t we all want to see our children’s dreams come true? Miss Debbie is on a mission to do exactly that. The cost of the extensive training requirements associated with meeting Emily’s goal exceeds the family’s financial limits. This is the challenge. Hence, the request for your help.

Who is Emily Darnell?
Emily never ceases to impress her parents by her faith, strong work ethic, kindness towards others, independence, motivation, and determination. She has made wonderful decisions throughout in life on her own accord. Some of her accomplishments were in making Nevada state cheerleading championship competitions, playing on the high school volleyball team for 2 years, playing lead roles in high school drama / theatrical productions, assisting in church Vacation Bible Schools and Christian summer camps, developing culinary skills with 2 years of training with a culinary expert in high school, and even giving up 1st place in a swim competition because she felt she had to go back to help her friend finish the race.

As a full-time student at Arizona State University, Emily is currently taking 8 college classes, keeping up with her pilot license flight requirements, and has a job while continuing to maintain a high GPA.

Emily has set a very high goal for herself. Her dream is to become a commercial airline pilot. She is unwavering in this dream. Nothing is more important to her. Emily has shown a passion in aviation that goes beyond a “hobby.” This is what she wants to do. This is what she is meant to do. Furthermore, this is what she is determined to do.

Finally, she was able to get her private pilot’s license on her own. Well, except with some financial help from her parents. Guess what? They are now tapped out but the dream continues.

Once Emily is able to accomplish her goal, she plans on passing your generosity on by paying it forward and mentoring and supporting other future female pilots. This journey is not without its challenges, but with the unwavering support of her parents and the generosity of others, she can overcome them all. Debbie hopes her story will inspire you to give a donation of any amount, and/or to pass this along to others. She prays for blessings to also be brought to you as you show your support!

  • Will you help this family raise the needed funds to cover the costs of the remaining training requirements of this young lady’s dream? The goal of raising $65,000 is attainable with your help. Any amount that you can donate will make a difference. Why not make a difference in the life of a future female pilot? Fun fact…there are only 5% female pilots in the industry. Let’s change that.

Please share this story and link with your friends, family, co-workers, business owners/partners, and any former military comrades. Perhaps you know somebody with financial means looking for a positive PR story that would be willing to help sponsor Emily in her endeavors? All we can do is ask and pray for God’s blessing.
