The staff at Noah's Ark is very saddened to announce the passing of our sweet lamb, Dotti. Dotti was humanely euthanized under careful consideration of our attending vet and specialist vet team that was caring for her at UGA.

Dotti came to us in January after her mom rejected her. A young teen bottle fed her for 8 weeks before Dotti came to us. While we knew that this little lamb had some challenges, we gave her everything she needed- goat friends, an outdoor pen and plenty of love and attention. However, as time progressed, Dotti was not growing and behaving as we would expect her too. She experienced a couple bouts with pneumonia, had weakness in her front legs and was not growing as fast as she should. At her last vet visit, it was decided she needed in depth diagnostics at UGA to determine what was physically going on with her. Unfortunately, due to pneumonia, a CT scan could not be performed, and she was not a candidate for the exploratory surgery she desperately needed for an accurate diagnosis.
