I’m Makayla, and I’m asking for help as I navigate a deeply difficult situation at my workplace involving sexual harassment and a hostile work environment. My supervisor is attempting to control when, where and how I use the restroom. He is also allowing the male staff to use the women's restroom on a regular basis, even when the Men's restroom is empty. I am currently in the informal stage of the EEOC process, and I am trying to pursue this case through the proper legal channels. After speaking with legal counsel, I learned that my case is legitimate. The legal fees could range from $50,000 to $100,000, which is far more than I can manage on my own. This has been emotionally draining, extremely stressful, and it has also created a great deal of uncertainty about my future and my ability to stay financially stable while I do what I can to protect myself.
