Hi, my name is Jalicia I’m helping raise money for my parents and my sister makaila. My family’s life has just been turned upside down we recently found out that my 14 year old sister is diagnosed with leukemia. Makaila has always been the most caring one out of all of us. As one can imagine her spirit is a little dim right now and if we could get everyone to read this and to pray for her and to include her into a prayer chain, I know my family would be more than appreciative. With her new home being Saint Luke’s for right now we are starting to feel the toll of gas prices driving back and forth from Nampa to Boise. My parents both work two jobs to make a comfortable living, with them supporting my sister by being at the hospital 24/7 they’ve already started to miss days of work. Financial, mentally, physically this is effecting the family. If you could help in anyway with a donation of any size to help the burden of finance ,that’s one less thing my parents would have to worry about. We will be updating everyone on more information that involves her cancer and treatment plans. Right now everything is new to us and this journey has just begun.

Update: 

Its been a rough 3 months for makaila and my family. 

My mom has had to quit her job to become a full time caregiver to my sister. My step dad has become a solo provider for a household of 4. Honestly a lot of times nothing seems to be going right these last 3 months. I think we all have that moment we are reminded that at the end of the day it’s not about what’s going right in life and what isn’t, it’s about standing beside my sister as she fights a horrible disease that effects her whole life. We’ve gone through chest tubes, feeding tubes, sepsis, pneumonia while going through chemotherapy in just 3 months. 

 My family is so thankful for everyones help and unfortunately we are learning that we still need help. I’m asking again to show my family support and love and donate what you can and to continue praying for my sisters mental and physical health.
