People often say they wouldn’t spend a lot of money on their pets, however everything changes when it happens to you.
In just two days, we've already spent over $4,800 on our beloved Major. Tomorrow’s procedures alone are estimated to cost over $6,000.
We never imagined we’d be in this position, but when your pet is suffering, you do whatever it takes. We had to make the heartbreaking decision: let him come home and suffer or do everything possible to try to make him better. Of course, we want him to heal and come back home to us — he’s family .
An ultrasound revealed there’s some kind of blockage at his stomach and into his intestines. It might be a polyp, cyst, or tumor — he doesn’t eat foreign objects, so we don’t think it is an object. The only way to find out for sure is an endoscopy, which costs between $3,500 and $5,000, depending on what needs to be removed. If it’s something more serious, surgery may be necessary which will be more expensive
His overnight stay at the veterinary hospital with a drainage tube from his stomach through his nose, along with sedation and pain medication.
Then the endoscopy… All of this adds up to over $10,000.
I did get to see him before I left him at the hospital, and as soon as I picked him up, he vomited again—despite not eating or drinking in two days.
It’s heartbreaking to see him like this, and we’re holding onto hope for a positive outcome tomorrow.
We’re reaching out to our community for help. Any donation, no matter how small, would mean the world to us and our little guy. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for your kindness, love, and support during this difficult time.
