Help Major dance & grow in Vienna!

My name is Saharla, aka Major Hammy, and I need your support to grow my artistry on an international platform!

I am one of 53 artists chosen to participate in the danceWEB program at ImPulsTanz 2025, an internationally renowned dance festival in Vienna that has been one of the most important festivals of contemporary dance research and performance since the 1980’s. This is my first opportunity to grow my artistry on an international level.

During the program I will participate in research around club dancing in contemporary performance, technique classes in house dance, contemporary dance, dancing for camera work all while networking with international artists, and seeing some amazing shows!

With your financial support and best wishes, I will be able to focus on making the most of this 5-week opportunity for my short- and long-term career goals. Beyond covering my cost of living abroad and program expenses, your support will help me:

Research and strategically plan for Dance House, my first lead artist produced work premiering in September 2025;

Participate in research projects and technique classes that will inform my movement development and educational programming

Network with like-minded international artists, creating community for myself and other Bay Area queer contemporary artists;

Focus on my personal and professional development as a lead and collaborating contemporary artist, particularly in drag, aerial, and site-specific spaces.
