Help My Family Survive Hunger and Displacement in Gaza
My name is Majid. I am 19 years old, and I am from Rafah, Gaza.
Until May 2024, my family lived in the same home where I was born, along with all my siblings. We didn’t have much, but we had love, memories, and the warmth of being together. That home was destroyed in July when the Israeli army invaded Rafah. We were forced to flee with only a single backpack. We had no chance to take clothes, food, or even family photos.
Now we are homeless, hungry, and struggling to survive.
I have four siblings—three older brothers (Hassan, Ahmad, and Adam), and my 10-year-old sister, Zayn. She dreamed of becoming a mechanical engineer. I dreamed of opening a small bakery called Majid Bakery. I’m very good at making traditional markouk bread, but now I make it using scraps of flour and a broken pan, just to keep my sister from going to sleep hungry.
Our parents are both over 60. My father suffers from severe heart problems and can barely walk. My mother is too weak to stand most days. We now walk 2–3 miles every day just to search for food or water. Some days we find nothing. Our shoes are torn, our clothes are dirty, and we’re doing everything we can to survive.
We are not asking for much—just enough to buy food, medicine, and clean clothes. If we can raise enough, we hope to find a small shelter where we can sleep safely at night.
What your donation will help with:
Food and clean water
Medicine for my father’s heart condition
Shoes and clothing for my siblings
Shelter or tent to protect us from the cold and rain
Please, if you are able to help—even a small donation could save our lives.
And if you can’t donate, sharing this campaign still means the world to us.
From the bottom of my heart—thank you.
I still believe in kindness. I still believe in the smell of fresh bread.
One day, if we survive this, I will build Majid Bakery—and feed anyone who is hungry.

Update: Help Majid’s Family Survive Hunger and Homelessness
We are still in Khan Younis, in the Gaza Strip, doing our best to stay strong despite the cold and rainy weather. Our shelter isn’t perfect, but we are grateful to still be together and pushing forward one day at a time.
One small thing that has given us hope is baking bread for the people around us. Whenever we are able to get flour, we light a simple fire and bake fresh bread to share with neighbors who have even less than we do. The smell of bread brings people together — even in difficult times. Children gather around, and for a moment, it feels normal. It feels human.
Food is still very limited, and the rain makes everything harder, but we are trying not only to survive — we are trying to support others too. Even in hardship, we believe in helping each other.
My biggest goal right now is to build a small, solid room for my parents. Just a safe, dry space with real walls and a roof that doesn’t leak. A place where they can rest without worrying about the cold nights or the rain coming through. After everything they’ve endured, they deserve that comfort and stability.
Your support is helping us move toward that goal. Every donation and every share truly makes a difference — not only for my family, but for the neighbors we are trying to help as well.
Thank you for standing with us and giving us hope.
