We’re Majesty Rising—a 12-piece soul-gospel band from Sydney—and we’re asking for your help to bring our debut album to life.
Why this matters (and why now)
Over the past year, we’ve seen something special happen.
Since launching in June last year, our shows have been filled with joy, energy, and moments where people are genuinely encouraged and moved by the message of hope in Jesus. From local gigs to branching out on NSW-tours, we’ve seen this music connect with people—both Christians and those exploring faith.
But we’ve reached a turning point.
We’ve written the songs and seen their impact live.
Now we need help to capture these them and share them more widely.
Recording a full album with a 12-piece band is a significant undertaking, and without support, we won’t be able to complete it. Would you consider helping us make this album happen?
What is Majesty Rising?
Majesty Rising is led by Eliza Kate (vocals) and Luke Sweeting (composer/arranger)—two musicians whose lives have been shaped by God’s grace. They are passionate about using their music skills to share about the hope of the gospel.
The band is made up of musicians from across Sydney, brought together by a shared love of this music and a desire to encourage people.
MJ's sound blends powerful horns, rich vocals, and songs that speak to the heart.
Some songs are joyful and celebratory. Others are more reflective—about trusting God, finding hope in difficult seasons, and learning to rest in Him.
What we’re raising funds for
We’re aiming to raise $28,000 to record, produce, and release a 12-track album and Youtube music video, including:
- A professionally recorded, mixed and mastered album
- A feature YouTube music video
- Album artwork and design
- Marketing and promotion
- Vinyl pressing and digital release
This will allow us to create a high-quality album that represents the excellence and heart behind the music.

Mastering: $2,400
Musicians: $5,200
Vinyl production: $4,200
Music video: $4,200
Artwork and design: $1,500
Marketing and PR: $5,000
Distribution: $300
Contingency: $2,300
Total: $28,300
Partially offset by vinyl sales: $6,000
