Hi everyone, my name is Maja Urban
I’m asking for your help to make the biggest year of my karate journey possible.
I’ve been officially selected to represent England at the 53rd EKF Cadet, Junior & U21 European Karate Championships 2026 in Limassol, Cyprus ✨
This is the dream I’ve carried for years.
A dream I’ve trained for when I was tired.
A dream I’ve chased when others were resting.
A dream I refused to give up on, even after heartbreak, losses, and moments where I questioned myself.
And now… It’s real.
“I Didn’t Get Here By Luck… I Got Here By Never Quitting.”
Behind this selection are countless hours of training, early mornings, long evenings, and sacrifices that most people never see.
I’ve travelled to camps and seminars to learn from the best.
I’ve stood on the mat with nerves in my stomach, giving everything I had.
I’ve felt the pain of losing, and instead of walking away, I used every defeat as fuel to improve.
Because karate doesn’t just build champions…
It builds character.
And I’ve promised myself one thing:
One day, I will earn my place. I will represent my country. And I will make my family proud.
Now, that moment has arrived, and I’m ready to fight for it with everything in me.
The 2026 Season Is Bigger Than One Event
The European Championships are only the beginning.
To compete at the highest level, I need to stay active internationally, gain experience, and keep developing through elite training. The 2026 season includes:
✅ EKF European Championships – Cyprus
✅ WKF K1 Youth League – Poreč, Croatia
✅ WKF K1 Youth League – Venice
✅ Prestigious international tournaments across Europe:
Slovakia | Germany | Poland | Hungary
✅ Two Karate Camps & Seminars with world-class athletes
✅ Full preparation for National Selections for the WKF World Karate Championships 2026
This year is my chance to grow, prove myself, and take a step closer to becoming one of the best.
The Hard Truth: Karate Is Self-Funded
Karate is a self-funding sport.
That means there is no automatic support, and all costs of preparation, travel, accommodation, entry fees, and equipment are paid for by parents and family.
My whole 2026 season budget is £5,500.
We are fundraising £3,000 to ensure I can take part in the whole season of international events and camps needed to compete at this level.
What Your Support Will Help Cover
Your donation goes directly towards:
✈️ flights and transport
accommodation
tournament entry fees
equipment and karate gear
️ camps, seminars, and training preparation
Every contribution, no matter the amount, helps me stay on the path and continue pushing forward.
If You Can Help… You Become Part of This Journey
If you’re able to donate, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
If you can’t donate, please share this page; sharing helps more than you can imagine.
Because sometimes it’s not just about money…
It’s about believing in a young athlete who is trying to turn years of effort into a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
I Promise This…
I promise to train even harder.
I promise to stay humble.
I promise to represent England with pride.
And I promise that every supporter who helps me get there will be on that journey with me.
Thank you for reading my story.
Thank you for supporting my dream.
Thank you for helping me keep going. ❤️
With love and gratitude,
Maja Urban ✨
